Ike Pigott left broadcasting after 16 years, numerous awards, and an Emmy. His coworkers didn't understand his decision to coast to "the dark side," but they never really understood Ike to begin with.
Ike exists to help people better tell their story. For now, the Red Cross in Birmingham pays Ike's bills, but he is slowly building a media training/interview coaching clientele that will support his disaster habit full-time. Ike specializes in crisis communications, messaging, and storytelling. He also dabbles in geeky-tech projects that are way over his head, but nobody has the heart to tell him to stop.
He's a proud graduate of the University of Alabama, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Theory. He's the father of two, a husband of one, and a slave to three. In the remaining moments that he has, Ike teaches Shen Lung Kung Fu, a Chinese martial art that carries conflict resolution at its core.
